Overview

Role: Designer
Focus: Print Layout, Digital Design, Branding
Layout design and improvements executed across accessible, everyday platforms like Google Workspace and Canva, maintaining consistency while keeping files flexible for frequent updates and small-scale printouts by colleagues.

One Pager Update and Optimization (Canva)

Notes
Originally sent over as a PDF from an outside contractor, this data-heavy flyer was visually cluttered and relied on incredibly small text. I rebuilt the layout directly in Canva so the file could be easily managed and updated in-house, bringing all main text up to a minimum of 12pt font (10pt for sources) to ensure readability. I also improved the logo sizing, adjusted the overall layout, and collaborated with colleagues to streamline and simplify the copy for clarity and broader use.

Legislative Activity Map One Pager (Google Slides)

Notes
Originally created by a colleague in Canva using an imported, static map image, this legislative flyer required a more flexible setup for ongoing updates. I transitioned the project into Google Slides and implemented a native, fully editable map graphic that colleagues can modify directly on the slide. I adjusted the color system to be more consistent with accompanying materials and to ensure the data map remains legible for colorblind users and functions even when printed in grayscale.

Conference Ad Optimization (Canva)

Notes
The original ad needed an update to meet brand guidelines and accessibility requirements. I redesigned the original asset directly in Canva, keeping the original spirit and intention of the design while adjusting for contrast and hierarchy.

Impact

Shifting these deliverables into accessible platforms removed production bottlenecks by giving internal teams total independence over routine text and data updates. This allowed teams to stay flexible and have custom tailored collateral for events for projects. The design team was able to dedicate resources to more complex evergreen collateral that required more technical set up.
